Be aware of phishing other security scams:

Phishing is an attempt to acquire sensitive information such as your user ID and password by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication such as email, phone and text messages.

To protect our Internet Banking customers from phishing and other security related scams, we advise that you:-

  1. Do not share your password and user ID with anyone, not even the Bank officer.
  2. The links to Login to Internet Banking are provided on the Crane Bank website ( and not anywhere else.
  3. We shall not send our customers, alternative Login links through email or any alternative communication medium. Therefore, do not enter your Login credentials on links not provided by Crane Bank Limited.
  4. We shall not send our customers Login credential through email or any alternative communication medium. In order for you to get enrolled to Internet Banking or regain access to the same, please visit the nearest Crane Bank Branch.
  5. Ensure to clear your browser cache by simultaneously pressing down the SHIFT + CTRL + DELETE keys, if you are using a shared computer.
  6. Check your accounts and bank statements regularly to ensure that no unauthorized transactions have been made.
  7. Make sure you have an updated computer with firewall, spam filters, anti-virus and anti-spyware software.

Charges on Internet Banking:

  • Enrolment of internet banking is free
  • Viewing statements and Printing is all free of cost
  • Transactions will be charged @ Ugx. 2000/- from Ugandan shillings account and USD 1 would be charged per transaction for USD transactions. And there would be no other charges apart from the following charges
  • Bill payment / School Fees charges: Per payment @ 2000 Ugx
  • Internet Banking Pin Re-issue charges: Per request @ 5000 Ugx
